Sickness and health
Our church does a lot of prayer for healing. We see instant healings and slow healings, miraculous healings and healings through medical help, and there are times when the person is not healed.
We live as Christians with one foot in a world where sickness is rife and everyone has to face death, and one foot in God’s domain, where ultimately everyone will be healed and death cancelled forever. The healings we see now are both wonderful in themselves, and encouraging glimpses of that other glorious domain. And if they don’t happen now, well, we have a hope that won't let us down in the end.
So we keep on praying.
