Almost 3 years ago I lost my engagement ring. Really upsetting, of course, but in addition it was disappointing (I'd already lost it once, and found it again after 3 weeks, in the stationery cupboard at work!), and also frustrating (I'd just spent a week in Istanbul, wearing the ring every day without any problems, and lost it the day after getting home. Some time ago a friend was praying for me (about something completely different) and suddenly told me that I shouldn't worry about the ring any more, as although it's precious, my marriage is much more precious, both to me and to God. So I'd sort of stopped looking for it or hoping to find it.... until last Thursday morning. I was at the 'Thursday Women' group, and suddenly I couldn't stop looking at other ladies' rings! I decided God was nudging me, so I asked some friends to pray about the situation - either that I'd find the ring, or that I'd feel really peaceful about never getting it back. Funnily enough they just prayed I'd find it! Anyway, no news yet, but having read the stories in this section, I do have a little more faith, so I won't give up hope after all. I promise I'll post again if I get any news....
