God gave us a Moment of Grace

Well we had such a special day last weekend - God took a moment and blessed us.

The women’s day, 'A Moment of Grace' on Saturday at St Barnabas, was filled with a buzz from the moment we all got together. Once the three hundred women started to sing in worship to the Lord it was clear that He was going to be there in a big way. I was touched by so many women that God was clearly using to impact lives. Women in mothering, women in leadership, women in worship, women in healing life’s hurts, women going solo, women in families, young women, older women – all out there, or in there, with a job to do that God has set out for them, passing that passion and purpose on to us. Wherever we are He values us and values where He has placed us, because He’s got a job for us to do right here.

Then we heard how God touches and heals lives, from healing the pain of abuse in childhood to restoring trust in Him. My highlight of the day was seeing how we can trust God to cover even the little things that we would imagine are well below his priority list. Such as an outfit for a wedding for a young woman who had given up everything for the Lord, including her finances. He found her a beautiful floral silk dress in a charity shop and a pair of shoes that just happened to also be around in a charity shop that were the perfect match, perfect size, perfect fit. If you had seen it you would have understood – it could only be a God thing - perfect, the way He does things...if we only let Him.
