I just wanted to thank Emily for sharing that story with us. As a single woman, I am inspired to hear about other singles thinking outside the box ( I didn't even know a single could adopt), and making selfless decisions like that.

I know, I hope she's reading this - I knew adoption by a single person was technically possible but had never met anyone who'd done it, especially someone in their mid-twenties! Thanks for commenting Kim and I agree wholeheartedly.
