BLOGS
Angel encounters, gifts and a Father of fun.
Posted July 1st, 2008 by NicoleBJust after I wrote my last blog (Weighed down and Rotten) about letting go of things we don't need and trusting God to give us what we need, this unusual week followed.

Concrete versus new life
Posted May 20th, 2008 by annecFirst the sun, then the rain (sounds like a familiar song!) – everytime I look out of the window the vegetation seems to have grown another foot high! As I was trying to weed my path the other day, I felt God spoke to me

Christian - at a cost
Posted May 13th, 2008 by clarePlease don't miss out on the latest new story! When a newcomer to the Thursday Women's group mentioned that she was from a Hindu background, I was itching to hear more. Sita kindly agreed to share that more with us.
Sita comes across as cheerful, warm and passionate about God. It's hard to imagine the struggle she's had with rejection from her community because she chose to publicly follow Christ.

Consoling Trust in the Face of Fear
Posted May 2nd, 2008 by NicoleBAs we looked at Psalm 56 today it spoke volumes to me. It was written when David was facing fear under capture from the Philistines. Things didn't look great. He stated his situation to God and all the trouble he was in. Then he says, 'When I am afraid I will trust in you'.
That trust has power to console David in the face of unsettling fear and give him what he needs to press on.

Growing pains
Posted May 2nd, 2008 by clareThere's a new story under 'inner healing' - read about Georgie's recent answer to prayer as she tried to put an unpleasant childhood experience to rest.
I wonder how you react to stories like this. Some people might dismiss it

One small step
Posted April 28th, 2008 by annecI've been thinking recently how wonderful it is to serve in the kingdom of God because He has amazing ways of multiplying the smallest things that we contribute, so that big things happen for His glory! Of course you'll be remembering the story of the feeding of the 5000 - but it goes on today in similar and lower-key ways all the time!
Should you or shouldn't you?
Posted April 20th, 2008 by clareI’m a full-time mother with two pre-school children. I’m sure I will look back on this time of my life with a fair amount of nostalgia, but right now while I’m in it, there are days when it feels like relentless, lonely, and unrewarding work. Just being honest.

Humiliated
Posted April 4th, 2008 by NicoleBIt was 9.10am. I was driving back from school drop off, running late and in a hurry to get to the 9.30am start of Thursday Women, which I was leading that morning. I turned into the one way narrow street, heading steeply up a hill, only just wide enough to get single way cars through. At the top of the hill I came up behind a large lorry, and there I stopped and waited patiently.
