Stories of God at work in women's lives
‘Who has a story to tell? What has God been doing in your life?’
These are the questions we ask each other every Thursday at our women's group - and the many and varied answers have become the stories on this site. What we have discovered is that God listens to us when we talk and pray. We hope that you will be encouraged to live your own story with him as you read ours. Happy browsing!

New story
Posted June 26th, 2009 by clareEncouragement for anyone feeling the pinch in these times... read this story of the Lord's response to Sally's cry for financial help. No, she doesn't win the lottery - but sometimes the point is just to know he's listening!

Not worrying when there is every reason to
Posted June 18th, 2009 by clareI love the story of Jairus’s daughter. Having told the story to the church’s pre-school group, and read it countless times to my own children from various picture books, it feels like part of me.

Dealing with insecurity
Posted April 4th, 2009 by GeorgieIt is funny how there are sticking points in our lives. I seem to always come back to the same point. There are times when I feel vulnerable. Sometimes they just creep up on me, like the one I had recently.

Time to call home
Posted March 22nd, 2009 by annecIt’s Mother’s Day today so I’ve been musing about the mothering thing. My ‘children’ are all grown up now, and the thing I enjoy most about mothering is the opportunity to just spend time with each one, talking about this and that - what bothers them, their plans, their successes and disappointments and so on.

Posted March 6th, 2009 by NicoleBI’ve spent many months praying for guidance on decisions in my life: where God wants me and my family to be, and what jobs I should be going into where I can make a difference.

Dynamite in our hands
Posted February 17th, 2009 by anneQuestion: Is prayer an extreme sport? If the recent news is anything to go by, then it is fast becoming one! A district nurse who offered to pray for a patient after she had treated her is threatened with dismissal.
Faith Restored
Posted February 8th, 2009 by NicoleBCynicism, disappointment, apathy, busy, over-busy, consumed by life, running in the rat race, little sleep, disinterested in religion and going through the motions at church, lots on my shoulders but unable to do much, tired, no time for anyone, faith low. This sums up where I’ve been in the last couple of months.
Last week I went to hear Jason Westerfield speak. I didn’t know who he was but I was told he was worth going to see. Apparently he had been in ‘The Finger of God’ movie. I hadn’t seen that either so I wasn’t too excited to go.

Why would God heal your headache but not stop a massacre in Rwanda?
Posted December 6th, 2008 by clareSita has been busy again. Read her very good news here!
I was asked the question above (very politely) by a friend I was talking to at the school gates last week. I really had been healed of a nasty headache the day before.
